Hi, my name is Sarah, I am an Integrative Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor.
My qualifications include:
BSc (Hons) degree in Psychology
Post graduate diploma in Counselling
Level 5 CBT Theory and Practice
Level 6 Clinical Supervision
I also hold Accredited membership with the BACP.
I understand how important it is to find a therapist you feel comfortable with to explore what is troubling you. I will offer you a compassionate and caring approach, walking beside you in your journey to explore the issues you experience and discover a way to move forward.
I primarily work within a Person-Centred approach, incorporating Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) where appropriate to support each client’s individual needs. What this means for you is that I offer a safe, empathic space to explore difficult thoughts and feelings without judgement.
I understand how important it is to find a therapist you feel comfortable with when exploring what is troubling you. I aim to offer a compassionate and supportive approach, walking alongside you in your journey to make sense of your experiences and find a way forward that feels right for you.
I have experience working with, but not limited to, a range of issues including postnatal depression, anxiety, depression, bereavement, abuse, financial worries, redundancy or loss of employment, long-term illness, work-related stress, ADHD, OCD, trauma around childbirth and labour, menopause, lack of motivation, identity, relationships, family dynamics.
With an awareness of neurodiversity informed by my own lived experience, I aim to offer a space where clients feel safe, secure and genuinely understood. This is particularly important for those who may have previously felt unheard or misunderstood, or who are coming to terms with a later-life diagnosis
I am a qualified Level 6 Clinical Supervisor. I work integratively, drawing on training in Person-Centred Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). My approach is relaxed and welcoming, creating a safe, open and trusting space where we can explore your client work collaboratively.
Within my supervision practice, I work with qualified counsellors and counsellors in training. Using a blended supervision approach, together we can look at all aspects of your practice, including areas of uncertainty, safeguarding, maintaining professional standards, and ethical practice. I tailor supervision to your individual needs, supporting your professional development, confidence and ethical competence.
I bring an awareness of neurodiversity to my supervision practice, informed by my own lived experience. This supports a deeper understanding of difference and individual need within client work, and offers a space where neurodiverse counsellors and practitioners can feel understood, supported, and able to reflect openly on both their strengths and any challenges within their practice.
I offer a free initial 30-minute consultation to explore our compatibility and answer any questions you may have.
Sessions are available online and face-to-face.
